City of Regina Makes Improvements to Paratransit Service

May 20, 2022

On May 16, 2022, the City of Regina announced plans for significant improvements to Paratransit, a shared public transportation service that supports residents with disabilities. This includes offering increased, convenient, and reliable access to recreation destinations including parks, concerts, bowling alleys, movies, swimming pools. Two new buses, and increased service hours, will add capacity. This capacity will allow service to people who would not normally qualify, and permit buses to travel outside of the city limits.

The Commission commends the City of Regina for its continued commitment to public transportation. Over the years, the Commission has worked closely with the city and other stakeholders to help identify and resolve systemic barriers associated with accessible transportation.
