Lunch and Learn with Jess Hamm

October 19, 2022

On October 26, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission will host our third online Employment Equity Partners Lunch and Learn event.

Guest speaker Jess Hamm from the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association (SIA) will discuss Embedding Anti-Racism in the Workplace: Creating an Anti-Racism Policy at SIA. From the preamble to SIA’s newly minted guiding document: “SIA’s anti-racism policy challenges racism and actively changes the policies, behaviors, and beliefs that perpetuate racist ideas and actions. SIA is committed to identifying, preventing, and eliminating systemic racism in all aspects of our work and to lead by example in the advancement of racial equity.”

Jess Hamm started working for the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association (SIA) in 2008 as a Coordinator and Manager of several different programs before being promoted to the role of Executive Director in 2015. During Jess’s career, she has been interested in advocacy and invested her time in working in allyship. Throughout her years at SIA, she has developed or spearheaded several new initiatives and programs that foster intercultural understanding and acceptance in our community.
