Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission Investigator
The Position: Full time permanent, Investigator for The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission.
Compensatory Package: hourly wage of $35.34 to $43.85, with additional benefit package.
The successful candidate will be an energetic and confident person, with superior analytical and problem-solving skills, who will investigate and at times facilitate resolution of complaints of discrimination under The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code.
This person will have an understanding of the law and procedures relating to investigation, settlement and adjudication of complaints of discrimination as established by the Code. They will have the ability to plan and conduct investigations, and advise on compliance/non-compliance with the Code.
The successful application will have previous experience in investigation and conflict resolution. Superior organizational skills will allow this person to balance thoroughness with efficiency. Strong interpersonal skills will enable them to interview parties to the complaint, as well as facilitate mediation. They will conduct research, write reports and draft memorandums of agreement.
The knowledge and abilities required for this position will be attained by the completion of a post-secondary degree combined with experience in investigation and dispute resolution and rights based mediation. Legal training is considered a definite asset.
Candidates may be asked to complete a written exam as part of the interview process.
