The Goverment of Saskatchewan’s Summer Student Program is hiring

The Ministry of Social Services is launching a new initiative to increase the representation of people experiencing disability among the summer student workforce in 2018. The Government of Saskatchewan is the largest summer student employer in the province and the Ministry of Social Services has a wide variety of summer jobs located throughout the province.

Each year the Government of Saskatchewan hires approximately 1000 students as part of its Summer Student Program, and requests for students are coming in daily.

To be eligible for the Summer Student Program, you must be:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada; and
  • Attending school on a full-time basis during the winter and returning to school on a full-time basis in the fall.

There are eleven different position categories that you are able to apply for, and you can apply to as many categories as you are interested in!

  • Office Administration
  • Human Services
  • Science and Engineering
  • Agricultural and Environmental Services
  • Safety and Security
  • Law
  • Parks and Culture
  • Facility Operations and General Labour
  • Highway Maintenance
  • Geological Survey
