“Only Laundry Should Be Separated by Colour”

February 11, 2016

The Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCoS) is once again encouraging groups and organizations to organize a flash mob activity to denounce racism. As part of their “Only Laundry Should Be Separated by Colour” campaign, MCoS is making activity kits that include rope, clothespins, stickers, available for order.

The flash mob activity supports the annual International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The United Nations recognizes this day, every March 21, in remembrance of the March 21,1960 massacre of peaceful anti-apartheid protesters in Sharpeville, South Africa.

In 2014, the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission partnered with MCoS to produce an anti-racism poster. These posters are available for download from the MCoS website.
