The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission continues its Courageous Conversation speaker series on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 10:00 AM.<\/p>\n
The speakers are Dave Nelson<\/strong> and Rebecca Rackow<\/strong>. Their Courageous Conversation titled \u201cThe Echo Pandemic\u201d <\/strong>focuses on mental wellness issues.<\/p>\n Dave Nelson has more than 40 years experience as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and a Registered Social Worker. He has worked with the Canadian Mental Health Association for over 25 years in various leadership roles and is currently the CMHA-SK Senior Program Consultant. Dave has been involved in a number of multi-agency collaborative efforts (PIND, DISC, DSA, SVOR, etc.) and is an advocate for mental health and cross-disability services in Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n Rebecca Rackow, \u00a0B.A. (Hons.) , BSW, RSW , \u00a0is currently the Director of Advocacy, Research, and Public Policy Development at the Canadian Mental Health Association, Saskatchewan Division (CMHA-SK) Rebecca has developed a recreational programming organization for older adults (RebeCreation Therapy Inc.) as well as program development with CMHA-SK (C.A.R.E., Emergency Wellness Support Lines, etc.) and advocates for individuals working through the mental health system as well as overall systemic change.<\/p>\n Attendees are encouraged to email questions to <\/strong>adam.hawboldt@gov.sk.ca<\/strong><\/a> in advance of the Courageous Conversation. <\/strong><\/p>\n
