Courageous Conversations with Dr. Maryam Mehtar
October 15, 2020The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission continues its Courageous Conversation speaker series on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 10:00 AM.
The speaker is Dr. Maryam Mehtar. Her Courageous Conversation is titled “The Things They Carry – Influences of Environments on the Health and Well-being of Children.”
Dr. Mehtar is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, at the University of Saskatchewan. She is the director of the Division of Social Paediatrics/ Paediatric School-based Health in Saskatoon. She is also the Program Director for the Paediatric Residency Program at the University of Saskatchewan.
Dr. Mehtar completed her medical school degree in 1989 at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed her Paediatric Residency at the University of Saskatchewan in 1999.
